Bathing in culture
The project is run by Jukkasjärvi Hembygdsförening and aims to develop the cultural environment at Jukkasjärvi hembygdsgård to create attractiveness and accessibility for both locals and visitors. The project also aims to create a meeting place that contributes to understanding among different ethnic groups/minorities. The project period is 2023-04-26 to 2024-12-31.

Purpose and goals
The purpose The aim of the project is to develop the cultural environment at Jukkasjärvi hembygdsgård to create attractiveness and accessibility for both locals and visitors. The purpose is also to create a meeting place that contributes to understanding among different ethnic groups/minorities.
The goal The aim of the project is to:
– Inventory, document, and digitize all items at the hembygdsgård
– Create an attractive and informative environment at the hembygdsgård
– Hold seven workshops and one theater performance
The project consists of:
Documenting and digitizing buildings and items. Organizing lectures, workshops, and theater. Moving buildings and preparing the area with lighting, signs, and displays. Promoting the project and the area.

Total project support: 1,388,260 SEK
Project support SJV: 930,134 SEK
Other public support (LAG): 458,126 SEK
