Four steps to your project
A project is a process with four different steps. From idea to project application and finally final report. For each step, we have developed information to help you implement your idea.
Step 1
Get started
Successful communities often succeed because people feel a sense of belonging and collaborate. It can be good to gather a group and together with others consider the following questions:
Why is the project needed?
What do we want to achieve through the project?
Who is the project aimed at?
What do we want to do?
Read about Leader Tornedalen's goals and areas of intervention and contact the leader office if you want to discuss your idea, it doesn't have to be fully formed!
Step 2
Write the application
When your idea has matured and can be shaped into a concrete project, it's time to create an application for project support. Always contact the leader office before you start an application!
In the application, you will among other things need to answer questions about the background of the project idea, goals, purpose, and expected results. You should also attach an activity plan, budget, and cost basis for all expenses.
We at the leader office will help you in the application process.
Step 3
Implement
When the project is approved, the implementation phase begins. There are some things that are good to keep in mind. You need to have structure in the project's activities, the voluntary time, cost basis, and regularly follow up on how it is going.
This facilitates the application for payment of support and also ensures that the project achieves its expected results.
Step 4
Conclude
When the project is completed, it should be concluded by submitting a final report and applying for final payment.

Gender equality
Is the project's working method and distribution of tasks designed so that women and men have equal opportunities to influence the project's design, participate in the implementation, and benefit from the project's results?
Collaboration
Should the project take place in collaboration between at least two of the sectors: non-profit, private, and public?
Broad benefit
Will the project's expected results be of broad benefit, meaning improvements/development for more than those who implement the project?
Implementation capacity
Do you have an organized co-financing and plan for how the project could be implemented practically?
Innovative thinking
Should the project be used to create development in various ways – not to support already existing activities?
Non-discrimination
Have you considered openness and non-discrimination? It is an absolute requirement that no one is prevented from influencing the project's design, participating in the implementation, or benefiting from the project's results due to gender, ethnic affiliation, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
