Purpose and goals

The purpose of the project is to restore the old bathing area and make it accessible by constructing a lit beach promenade at the old ferry landing in Pello with beach buildings and to make it more accessible to the public; skiers and snowmobilers, boaters and bathers as well as recreational fishermen. The purpose is also to market and inform about the project by inviting to three activities with refreshments.

The goal of the project is to construct a functionally adapted lit beach promenade with a bathing jetty, a boat jetty connected to the beach promenade, and to renovate the old bathing beach. The goal is also to reuse, relocate, and adapt the following buildings for people with disabilities to the beach area; changing room/outdoor sauna, grill cabin with wood shed and open grill area with wind protection and outdoor toilet, as well as to set up information and directional signs. The goal is also to carry out three activities, where we provide refreshments, to attract people to the site so that we can market and inform about the project.
